Specialty Troupes

NOT ALL OF THE STUDENTS WILL MAKE A SPECIALTY TROUPE. SOMETIMES THEY WILL BE THE ONLY ONE IN THEIR CLASS WHO DOESNT MAKE IT! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS AND CHOOSE WISELY!

 

CHARGES

Specialty Troupe Students, who take 6 classes or more, will be charged a one time $365 charge (if you are in more than 1 specialty troupe, the charge for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc is $295). If you take less than 6 classes, you get charged a per class tuition and do not get charged a one time fee. Please choose the Specialty Troupes you try-out for very carefully! Costume can be up to $275 and will be charged in 2-3 installments. Due to tariffs, costumes may be higher this year and charged accordingly!

If your Specialty Troupe has an Outside Choreographer, it is an additional $175 per dance per student  – maximum 5 dances – Anything over 5 dances is FREE!! (This is for all dances, not only specialty troupes.)

**IMPORTANT INFO

 – All Specialty Troupes May have a Prop Fee that will be split evenly between the entire class. Even if you do not touch the prop but it is being used in your dance, the fee will still be split evenly.  All Specialty Troupe Costumes will be split evenly between the class. Some children may get more of a costume than others. Some may need more than one costume and others may just get one. Regardless of all of this, costume charges will be split evenly to benefit the dance.

ACRO INFO

MINI THRU ONYX - ACRO IS IN YOUR UNLIMITED PACKAGE - IF YOU ARE NOT UNLIMITED, IT IS CHARGED AS A REGULAR CLASS

JADE & UP - ACRO IS CHARGED AS A SPECIALTY TROUPE. SPECIALTY TROUPE STUDENTS WHO TAKE 6 CLASSES OR MORE, WILL BE CHARGED A SPECIALTY TROUPE FEE. IF YOU TAKE LESS THAN 6 CLASSES, YOU WILL BE CHARGED AS AN ADDITIONAL CLASSS!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS WITH TRY OUT DATES IF THEY ARE LISTED!

1. Tap Troupe Tryouts – 2 Thursdays - September 18th and 25th (8:15 - 9:15pm) (2 days) and Regular class will begin on Thursday October 9th (8:15 - 9:15pm). (For Onyx and Up)

2. NEW - PETITE Acro Troupe Tryouts – 2 Tuesdays Sept 9th and September 16th (5:30-6:45pm) (2 days) and class will begin on Tuesday September 30th (5:10/5:15-6:45). (For NEW Mini thru NEW Pink)

***ALL PETITE ACRO STUDENTS MUST STAY IN THEIR REGULAR ACRO CLASS AND TAKE THESE CLASSES IN ADDITION. THE EXTRA TECH CLASS WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE ON TOP OF THE SPECIALTY TROUPE FEE!

3. Junior Acro Troupe Tryouts – 2 Tuesdays Sept 9th and September 16th (7-8:15pm) (2 days) and class will begin on Tuesday September 30th (6:45-8:30). (For NEW Onyx thru Hunter)

***ALL JUNIOR ACRO STUDENTS CAN COME OUT OF THEIR REGULAR ACRO CLASS AND TAKE THESE CLASSES INSTEAD. IF YOU WANT TO DO BOTH, YOU DO NOT GET CHARGED EXTRA!

4. Jr. Hip Hop Troupe Tryouts - 2 Mondays September 8th and September 15th (6:45-7:45pm) (2 days) and class will begin on Monday September 29th Time To be Announced. (For New Mini thru NEW Onyx) More info on skills needed and times coming soon! 

5. Senior Hip Hop Troupe Tryouts - 2 Fridays Sept 19th and September 26th (3:45 - 4:45pm) (2 days) and class will begin on Friday October 3rd (3:45 - 4:45pm). (For NEW Jade and Up) More info on skills needed and times coming soon! 

6. Jr. Jazz Troupe Tryouts – 1 Day - Saturday Sept 13th (Time TBA) - Regular Class will be Saturdays BUT will be some Tuesdays especially the weeks of Competition! (For 5th thru 8th graders) More info on times coming soon!

7. Senior Jazz Troupe - By Invite Only (High School) - Regular Class will be Tuesdays from 6:00 - 6:45pm

8. Lyrical Troupe - By Invite Only - Regular Class will be Tuesdays from 6:45 - 7:30pm

Level 1 - New Mini Troupe (no requirements for Micro minis but welcome to come to this level!)

3 Tap Training Classes - 6 will be offered

3 Hip Hop Training Classes - 6 will be offered

8 Training Classes (Any other discipline besides Hip Hop or Tap - 2 may be yoga or acro)  - 14 will be offered

Note - If you only take Hip Hop and Tap, you would only need Training classes in those disciplines. If you do NOT take tap, you are NOT responsible for that Training requirement, etc... If you want to take more than what is required, you are welcome to. They will be great for advancement!

*2 Trainings Can be counted towards 1 Master Class in that discipline

*1 Master Class Can be counted towards 2 Trainings in that discipline

NEW Onyx, Jade, Hunter, Amethyst, Navy, Midnight:

HS Seniors are excused from training classes NOT master classes. Summer requirements are also mandatory for seniors.

Note - If you only take Hip Hop and Tap, you would only need Training classes in those disciplines. If you do NOT take tap, you are NOT responsible for that Training requirement, etc... If you want to take more than what is required, you are welcome to. They will be great for advancement!
